SemiHero is a concept rock album whose songs are built around the story titled Sympathetic Detonation. One by one, the album introduces characters and their abilities, such as Fire Fang the protagonist, Sweet Spot the antagonist, Soul Kiss, the shared love interest, Laser Dog, a decommissioned cyber dog, Buffalo BoneHook, the best friend of Fire Fang, and Bonnie Apocalypto, the renegade sister of Buffalo who wanders the Flint Hills. The album introduces principal story events as well such as the Carousel, a supernatural carnival ride tethered to the Akashik library, and its operator, the Chunk of Thunder, who trades the young hero's for a ride and glimpse into the unknown. The album culminates with Super Fight, the final showdown of characters and their semiHero abilities.
The Sympathetic Detonation album gives a glimpse into the fictional story of young adults who lose family and friends, who struggle with the personal and physical casualties of cancer treatment or trauma resulting in self-doubt and physical disabilities. Despite formidable setbacks, the semiHeros are ultimately rebuilt through new friendships, challenges and technology to become something stronger than before. Ultimately, our characters learn that all the superability in the world is powerless without courage.
